PLEASE READ THIS ALL CAREFULLY. I am not responsible for any misunderstandings or missed information unless things are not stated below. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE SENDING FINALIZING EMAIL.
NOTE BENE: Anything below is subject to change. If anything changes in the midst of negotiations or communications, I will do my best to let you know before finalizing but again, I am not responsible for any misunderstanding or missed information.
A. Buying
1. Requests for holds are welcomed BUT items will only be held for 24 hours. If no finalizing email is sent within 24 hours of hold request, held items will go back up for sale.
2. A finalizing email SENT BY THE BUYER will include the following:
a) all items to be shipped and/or swapped
b) address items are to be shipped to OR suggested locations for pick up
c) any request for delivery confirmation (please see below for more info)
d) confirmed PayPal email address for invoicing, if applicable
e) mobile number for any pick-ups
f) name and mobile number of person I am meeting with if I am NOT meeting with the buyer
g) Specktra or MUA member name if feedback is desired (which means you would leave feedback for me once items are received!!)
If any of these are missing, I will let you know and allow 24 hours for the missing information to be sent. If I do not receive completed info within 24 hours, items will go back up for sale.
3. If we are negotiating prices for a multi-item purchase/swap OR locations to meet for a pick-up, please try to reply within 24 hours of my emails. I will aim to do the same. Negotiations must be finalized within 7 days of starting - it's not fair to keep those items in limbo in case someone else may want them.
B. Paying
1. If paying by Paypal, I will only ask you to pay to ms_blah_wah@hotmail.com (NOT the same email for regular communication; payment purposes ONLY). If you receive an email requesting payment elsewhere, it is NOT from me and I am not responsible for any funds you pay out elsewhere. I will still expect payment to my account for your items.
2. PayPal payments must be received within 48 HOURS of invoice being sent. Please note the date and time stamp on the invoice. This is what we will both go by.
3. PayPal payments not received within 48 hours of invoice sent will result in items going back up for sale.
4. For pick-ups, monetary payment (partial or whole) must be made IN CASH. Insufficient funds will result in a non-sale and items will go back up for sale.
5. For pick-ups, any items to be swapped must be given at that time. Any items going towards the order not brought to the pick-up will result in a non-swap/non-sale and purchased items will go back up for sale. Any partial payment will be refunded.
6. For pick-ups, any gift cards involved in the sale must be verified by me either at the respective store or by phone. If the gift cards are less than the agreed upon value involved in our transaction, it will result in a non-swap/non-sale with purchased items going back up for sale UNLESS the missing value is compensated for at the time of meeting, which will be accepted at my discretion (i.e. if $5 is missing, I have the right to refuse your offer for a $5 drink to make up for it).
C. Delivering via Pick-up/Meet-ups
1. Meet-ups should be scheduled for no more than 3 days after invoice is sent. If we cannot schedule to meet within 5 days of invoice sent, I reserve the right to put items back up for sale, to my discretion.
2. The Very Local Pick-Up discount!! A 10% discount will be given if we meet at Yonge & Finch or at Mel Lastman Square. =)
3. I am willing to meet within the following area:
Keele Street to the west
Lawrence Avenue to the south
Warden Avenue to the east
16th Avenue/Carrville Road to the north.
Any location outside of this area will be considered but not necessarily accepted
4. If I cannot reach buyer within 10 minutes of reaching the agreed location and/or meet with buyer within 15 minutes of reaching the agreed location, I reserve the right to leave, call off the sale/swap and post the items back up for sale. I will consider re-scheduling a meet-up but am under no obligation to re-schedule or hold items.
5. I do not have to meet up with the buyer him- or herself but if someone other than the buyer is coming, I will need to know the name and mobile number of the person ahead via email AND will call the buyer directly before handing over the items. Please make sure that this person has the funds and/or items required for the transaction.
As mentioned in "Rules of the Game", pick-up is preferred to shipping. However, if you buy a bunch of items and are willing to pay the shipping costs, here goes.
D. Shipping Within Canada and U.S.
1. Small packages (less than 500kg / 1lb, fits in an 23cmx18cm / 9"x7" envelope) will cost $10. If the package is SLIMMER than a DVD, it will cost $7. I will send by airmail unless it is more than $2 of these quoted costs.
2. Larger/heavier packages will be taken in for an estimate. The estimate will be emailed to the potential buyer. Potential buyer will need to reply WITHIN 24 HOURS or items will go back up for sale. Any initial payment given will be refunded.
3. If shipping is $2+ LESS than what I have quoted, I will refund you the difference.
4. If shipping is WITHIN $2 ($0.01-$2.00) more of what I have quoted, I will absorb the difference.
5. If shipping is $2 OR MORE ($2.01+) than what I have quoted, I will need the buyer to PAY the difference.
6. Only express or expedited shipping include DELIVERY CONFIRMATION. It is not a simple add-on to the delivery method. Buyer will need to pay the express or expedited price. An estimate will be obtained and buyer will need to reply WITHIN 24 HOURS or items will either a) go back up for sale; or b) be sent via regular mail service if payment has already been made.
7. If DELIVERY CONFIRMATION is required, buyer will need to request this BY THE TIME ITEMS ARE FINALIZED. If this is done afterwards, there is no guarantee delivery confirmation will be included
Shipping Outside of Canada and U.S.
1. Estimates will be obtained and emailed to the buyer. Buyer will have need to reply WITHIN 24 HOURS or items will go back up for sale. Any initial payment given will be refunded.
2. There are some countries which are very picky about receiving cosmetic items. I will look into this and post them here. I may need to insist on delivery confirmation and/or have the right to refuse to ship to those countries.
3. If shipping is $2+ LESS than what I have quoted, I will refund you the difference.
4. If shipping is WITHIN $2 ($0.01-$2.00) more of what I have quoted, I will absorb the difference.
5. If shipping is $2 OR MORE ($2.01+) than what I have quoted, I will need the buyer to PAY the difference.
